Private vs. Public!
Is there really even a difference? Absolutely! Think of it like high school. Public high schools are funded by local property taxes...
A passion project dedicated to help college transfer students worldwide succeed! Sharing tips and advice on how you can navigate your way through your university.
Explore the site and all that it has to offer; perhaps we will be able to help you discover your own passions and guide you on your journey to that degree.
This site is a hub for college transfer students to be able to get advice, talk to someone if help is needed on how to properly create their schedules and see shared stories about students who have been in their shoes and how they were able to adjust. Change is never easy, but with the right information it creates a smooth transition from one university to another. As a transfer student myself, I saw the need for a blog like this because back when I transferred from my community college to a 4-year university, I realized that transfer students are not given as much attention and help as freshman students. Schools assume that since you've already been in college you already know how to navigate your way through which is true to an extent, but the only difference with that is you now attend a new university with new guidelines and rules.
The Transfer Guide was created as a way to give transfer students a voice and to showcase the tremendous stories of students who have made it and are living out their dreams. Although it was created for transfer students, ALL college students are welcome and encouraged to be a part of this. I hope this site empowers you to be the best you can be and to know that just because you transferred doesn't mean you're any less than the students that started there from freshman year.
Advice from current and former college students.
